Rev. Wesley Howell -Pastor

Pastor Wes Howell joined the Trinity Team in September of 2011.  He has had long connections with the Pullman/WSU community, beginning when he was a Kindergarten student at the Adams School (now the Adams Mall on campus) while his dad was at WSU in the early 60’s. Pastor Wes graduated from WSU in 1980 with a B.S. in Biology. He then attended Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley California and has served parishes in Oregon and Washington.  Pastor Wes is excited about ministry; especially connecting worship and preaching  directly to people’s lives.

Dr. Jill Schneider -Organist

Jill Schneider is on the faculty of Washington State University.  She teaches organ, piano and harpsichord and is active as a performer and accompanist.  Dr. Schneider grew up in Colorado and earned degrees in organ and music education at the University of Colorado in Boulder.  After several years of teaching and church work, she continued her education at the University of Georgia in Athens where she studied with Egbert Ennulat.  In addition to music, her favorite pastimes include walking, gardening, and cooking.  She shares her life journey with her husband Dave and their children, Carson and Kate.

Dr. Julie Wieck -Choir Director

Julie Anne Wieck is an Associate Professor of Music at Washington State University where she is the Coordinator of the Voice Area, teaches studio voice and directs the opera and musical theatre productions. Dr. Wieck is an active recitalist, adjudicator, and clinician. Julie has been a church musician, serving as soloist, choral director, pianist and even pedal-less organist for 40 years. She is currently the choir director at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pullman, Washington.

Luke Edward Polley -Office Manager

Luke Polley joined the Trinity Lutheran Church team in March 2020. He has been a member of the Lutheran Parish for the majority of his life. He attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School in Kennewick, WA for 10 years. He then moved back to his mother’s hometown of Potlatch, ID and spent over 10 years living there. Luke lives in Pullman, WA now, in a shared flat with his closest friends.
