Grade School Class

ON SUMMER BREAK

For pre-K through 5th grade. Students reinforce the message of the day’s Reading. Class is typically active with some noise and hands-on. Students learn Bible stories and are shown that God is LOVE.

Joyful Noise!

ON SUMMER BREAK

For pre-K through 5th grade. Students learn and play with the fundamentals of music such as dynamics, rhythm, and melody. Classes incorporate singing, chime bars, and percussion. The class performs semi-annually for the congregation.

Confirmation

ON SUMMER BREAK

For grades 6, 7, & 8. Students affirm their faith by studying God’s Word and Luther’s Small Catechism. Lessons include Luther’s contribution to faith, navigating the Bible and learning how the books became canon. Classes are typically group discussion.

High School Class

ON SUMMER BREAK

For grades 9 through 12. By studying the reading in exclusivity ie. without any background knowledge, we identify the interactions between the characters and between God and the characters. We ask what those interactions show about God and hence what we can know about God’s relationship with each of us. With that knowledge we can live more closely to God in our daily activities.

The high school class attends a Lutherhaven retreat typically in January.
